We don't need to sign any players in January

A left back/wing back, centre half and central midfielder.

Get Matthews out on loan, peddle Roberge, Mavrias, Bridcutt, Buckley & Graham and we could potentially have a pretty decent second half of the season.

imho.

Good enough squad as it is. Maybe an extra CB would be handy, but we're good enough to survive with this squad. I don't think Borini or Lens have settled just yet, and I reckon AJ has a few outstanding performances in his locker still. Plenty to come from a few of these lads. As long as we stay injury-free then I think we'll be alright.

Anyone disagree and think we need to splash the cash?

Imo we should be looking to strengthen every window and need to do so every window in order to stay competitive. The best time to improve is when your on the up. Never settle for what you have. The teams at the top constantly look for players to try and improve and we should be no different. Stagnating and not bringing in quality to replace outgoing players has been our downfall for the past 5 years.

Bringing in a lot of sh*t players has been our problem.
We have bought too often.
Splurging what little cash we have under the FFP rules in January - when it's a sellers' market with little quality around - is NOT likely to help.

As everyone can see we need CB and LB cover (and loans would be fine for this) and otherwise we should keep our powder dry unless a player Sam really fancies is available at a fair price..

Was it the fairies or the elven folk, who told you this?

I'd go for a CB that is strong and commanding with PL experience and then a versatile reliable forward that wouldnt be expected to start every week but could fill in many rolls like Walters. Our squad looks settled lets not ruin that with gambles. We can make the big improvements in the summer
