""Keane cited differences with Sunderland 30% shareholder Ellis Short and strains with club chairman Niall Quinn as the factors in his decision to resign as Sunderland manager.""
Short bought his 30% stake after Keane's last transfer window had closed......but hey don't let the truth get in the way of your shit craic!

irony. Using that term at any time is disgusting but even more so at the moment. You aint a sunderland supporter.
The fact your even bringing that up shows what a spunk stain on society you are, go crawl back under your rock and come back when you've educated yourself in use of the English language!

"an evil or destructive practice or phenomenon that is hard to contain or eradicate.
"racism is a cancer sweeping across Europe"
synonyms: evil, blight, scourge, poison, canker, sickness, disease, pestilence, plague"

get help mate honestly get help

Using the term cancer is quite frankly disgusting fck off.

gutted we won today no doubt.

a mag? Are you for real. I guess by your immature comments Im older than you...Ive probably forgotten more about SAFC than you will ever know.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

You answer criticism of short with
asking me why don't I buy him out and show what I can do, and then -
call me immature!!!

Oh please, keep going.

Im sure billionaire Mr Short will give little thought to whether you or I think he is a failure. :)

and Im buzzing unlike some sad fcukers on here who would rather we get beat so they can carry on with their anti SAFC / Short bile.

No anti SAFC anything, as you well know, nice try at fudging.

Anti short, yep.

I see you didn't answer, what a surprise.

Even if they go I'm not sure we'll be buying anyone mate. We HAVE to get this debt sorted out. Certainly not anyone over 1m quid anyway. 10m strikers want a 10m strikers' wages, we can't afford that or the fee. Our best chance is loaning some 4th choice premiership striker not wanted by their club.

Hats off to Grayson. Not once has he moaned. He was probably told we have no money and it's gonna be a tough job yet still he took it, unlike that Scottish twat who knocked us back.
I think we will sign a centre back, winger and striker but id imagine that it will be cheaper players, I just hope we sign young players as im worried that we will sign younger players as most players seems to be around 30!

Most certainly still need McCormack, today is a great result against one of the teams that should be near the top but McCormack is a fantastic player and is a better choice than both Grab and Vaughan.

In all honestly a loan deal might be great for is too, he's getting on a bit and doesn't seem to cut it in the Prem, so if we did go up we just send him back.

Certainly seems to be favoured by Grayson, having worked with him before at Leeds, and i think he will certainly add quality to the forward line up

Keep forgetting he was under Grayson at Leeds, even more reason to bring him in, had his tat at Villa bit Grayson and he must get on so I doubt it'd happen here.

He got the best out of him, at Leeds, its why he got that move to Fulham, but it didn't work out, and then the move to villa, which hasn't worked, sometimes some managers just get the best out of certain players, if we could get the best out of him, no reason at all why he wouldn't score 20+ goals for the club.

Wasn't really too bad at Fulham either iirc

True enough, so hopefully by the time the transfer window closes he has made the move, because i can't see him getting much football at villa, not with bruce in charge

We've got the Division's leading scorer

I think of myself as a supporter that leans towards the optimistic but there is no chance I would have placed that as a bet at the start of the season. I think it's funny that we are, as well as being second top scorers in the league. Thought they were two tidy finishes from Grabban today. Be good if some of that composure could rub off on Vaughan like, he's a bit snatchy in front of goal. Still think we'll end up with McCormack on loan at some point, regardless of selling anyone else.

I have nothing but respect for Quinny and the irish lads but the bulk of their money came from the property market. After the crash of 2007 without Short there was a real possibility that we could have gone into administration so 10 years in the premiership a cup final appearnace and dominating the mags can not be seen as a failure.

Could we have done more in Short's time here? Given the investment undoubtdly yes. Grumpy Old Man will will tell you how much but we have had major investment in Short's years

However, it is the football experts that bought very poorly and we paid very very well that have let us down not Short.

Relegation and increased debt is, by any standards, failure.

A cup final, survival & mag beating are highlights, no more.

Lots of crap decisions have been made, either by short, or by people appointed by short.
If he'd only been in charge 1 or 2 years then you could say, mitigating circumstances, give him time. But he's been here 8 years.
Even the worlds biggest optimist who might say "give him a few more years, he's still learning, he'll come good" -
even he would say these last 8 years have been a failure

We may have to agree to disagree, but thanks for the sensible reply. :D
