Hold on a minute, what type of owner employs a DOF model who is his good mate in a club that is struggling, he didn't back the manager, he backed the model. He fell out with everyone who knew football at the club. It was his way or no way. He went in blind and ill informed, I think your aiming the research part at the wrong people.

That's what owners do Tbf. Especially if they care about their company, and admit they've made mistakes.
Oh don't get me wrong, he has made a few mistakes. Giving us money was 1 mistake. He should have let us go down years ago and stabilised then, but he kept throwing money at us hoping the players and managers would turn it around. He won't do that again I'm sure.

He loaned us £160m, then wrote off 100m of it because he knew we'd never pay the fkr back.

People who say he's bleeding us dry are f***ing idiots.

If Short hadn't financially backed the managers what would've happened? 1, we'd have been relegated long ago, 2, the fans would have cried "Short out!", and 3, no manager would agree to come.

If you're gonna post on an SAFC football forum you should at least know wtf you're talking about.

If YOU were Short, what would you have done differently? Haway smarty pants. I can't f***ing wait to see your response.
Exactly.

Every manager appointed by Short, with exception of Bruce, was welcomed by the vast majority of us supporters. If them managers then decided to spunk Short's money on players with quetionable ability and temperament Im not sure haw Shorts getting all the crap. Im sure he is as peed off as any supporter since its his money thats been spunked.

When you see the rubbish MON, Advacart, Bruce, BSA, Poyet and Moyes bought can you blame him for not giving even more cash to waste.

Of course as supporters we are unhappy with where we are but blaming the man who has put significant investment in to the club is not the way to go.

People on here need to look at the real culprits...the football experts that were very well payed by the club and who have wasted Shorts investment.

Two on this thread are so obviously not Sunderland supporters...you and that cosmos rocks tit. No SAFC fan would stick up for Short now, especially after last season.
Crawl back to your own board you dirty mags.

I'd rather give the younguns a chance.

No matter how difficult the transition is this is the only way for us to go back into the PL and not need a whole new team. We do need to also scout and sign some of the best young talent in the FL....find them, play them and even sell them as and when there's a big profit there.

You're mad as fuck if you think he has wrote that debt off, hes a business man first and foremost, there is no chance in hell hell let go of that amount.

Looking overseas as well, but other than agreed with this statement.

Calling a block who has put north of £100m into SAFC a parasite and you call me a tit. :)
What a sad man you are. You are either a mag or a wum but you aint a Sunderland supporter.

Can't see us having much overseas presence in this era of austerity. Thing is though you only need to get one right to set your club up for years. That Dembele who Barca have been quoted €150m for only cost them €13m a year ago.....the rewards are huge if you can get it right. That Brazilian lad Watford have just signed could be an interesting one over the next year or two.

Just noticed the date you joined this board. We were pretty much mathematically certain to drop, and the scum looked like getting promotion.
You almost got away with your deception...mag.
you are the mag you dafft cun t

Need two strikers and one of them has to be the main man. Vaughan will not cut it but ok as fourth choice
