WBA fan online abuse

Well done WBA.

How anyone can even think it’s acceptable or clever to joke about a dead child is beyond me.

Hope they get what they deserve.

Personally I’d make them sit down with Bradley’s parents and have them read their words out.

I just can’t get my head round why anyone would think of such a brave little lad as anything other than inspiring and positive. These are generally grown men as well.

I really don't understand the "troll" mindset. Trying to say horrible things to get attention/ upset people. Well done, you've probably hurt a mother and father of a dead son, you've also made hundreds of thousands of others who follow the story think you're a complete ****. Honestly, what have you got out of it? You're honestly mentally unwell if you get satisfaction from that. I wouldn't be locking them up personally - I'd be giving them mandated therapy. Something isn't right in the head.

Would you rather we just let bell ends on social media crack on being bell ends?
Yes. Otherwise we would have to choose an arbiter of free speech. That would create a moving target.
The old days had a better solution. Bradley's uncle finds this clown and breaks his finger. Job done.

Seen some lad on Twitter managed to report him to WBA, find out his full name and where he worked within minutes of the tweet. If you think you're a clever **** posting stuff like that on Social Media don't be surprised when you've ruined your own life. Far too many people these days think they can say what they want from behind a computer or phone screen and get away with it. Well done to the authorities for acting on it too.
Well said. I know the Mods on here get stick from time to time but they do a pretty decent job of keeping it clean on here. Even if I’ve become foul from them through my own stupidity the knars

Very worrying that this is the second time it's happened (first time not online). I just hope that somehow, his Mum didn't get to hear about it this time.

Much as I don't like WBA, it's no reflection on them - All clubs have a 0.01% amount of cowards who use social media to hide behind when doing this sh%t.

No reflection on the majority of football fans.

It'll never happen but it would be so easy to introduce ID verification before you were able to create an account. The resources these companies have it wouldn't be hard to implement.

I dunno, I think there is some massive benefit to anonymity online as well to be honest. "Powerful" people/corporations/ organisations/ governments etc. have faced the consequences of their actions because people have felt freed by anonymity to call them out. Or people just generally don't want people to know everything about them online. I don't know what the answer is if I'm honest.

I mean the Sheffield Wednesday fan was happy to do it in public, knowing that people would be taking pictures of him, knowing if would potentially go viral - so his name being online wouldn't have bothered him.
