You are wrong in this instance marra he still has a way to go yet. What an absolute load of rubbish . I know you are entitled to your opinion mate but that is just pure crap .
Ive said on a few occasions on this thread that I think he will do very well in this league and make a big contribution to the promotion campaign if he stays fit. I think he could be competent and effective in the league above. But, I dont think he will ever be a good top flight player.
Seems a decent lad, he never gives less than 100% for the shirt and its always nice to see a player return from serious injury. Cant ask more from an individual than that.

Its not rubbish marra its an opinion. Not saying he hasn't but under Big Sam he was showing he could do it at Premiership level , so to say he is never going to make it is rubbish .

how many appearances do ya reckon Watmore made under Allardyce between January and the Everton match? Without looking, I reckon four from the bench and one start (if that)
Absolutely this. Thought it was just me that thought we actually looked half decent with those 3 in the final third and were picking up points. Pity it got cut short with Watmores injury, against Leicester I believe.I think he was doing really well before the injuries
as bad as Moyes was
We had PVA and Anichebe down the left, Defoe upfront and Watmore on the right, I think we could have stayed up
Think people are being a bit unfair on him, he was just starting to establish himself

Your wrongBang average.
If your being serious I’m pleased you have nowt to do with safc team affairs, the lad played well on the premier league never mind playing in league 1No he’s not and never will be. People need to realise he’s not very good.
Remember winning at Bournemouth with them 3 up front. We had a couple of wins against Watford and Leicester that were routine, the Hull game at home was one of the most enjoyable, relaxing wins we'd had in the league for a while
We looked a real threat and were in good form.
Watmore and Anichebe got injured, we sold PVA and replaced him with Oviedo.
And that was the end of that.

According to Gareth Southgate if I remember correctly.According to who? Would any neutral supporter, viewer or pundit outside of Sunderland have said that Duncan Watmore was the stand out player in England's under 21 team? I genuinely dont think so.
I thought, for a first competitive match after such a long injury, he did astonishingly well. To be honest, getting through the game unscathed constituted a tick in the rehabilitation box. That he caused the oppo problems to the extent he did was highly satisfactory.
He caused good defenders trouble in the PL. He's played in the PL and didn't look out of place.Absolutely no doubt hes good enough for league 1. I think he could be competent in the league above. I dont think he'll ever be good enough to be a decent top flight player
My recollection is similar but different. Moyes stumbled on a tactic of having Pickford launch it to Anichebe, him hold it up with Defoe and Van Aanholt supporting and scoring. That formula worked for about three games until Pickford (who kept us in it at Bournemouth with outstanding saves) got injured and Anichebe got injured. The winning formula was then defunct (I actually only remember us playing well against Leicester anyway - the others were quite fortuitous).
you know more than every manager and scout in the championship? james vaughan scored in this league and while maja might be better tna him he mjight not be..vaughan was a precocious teenager as well and now look at him..
