Maja has far more talent then Vaughan ever had. Only 19 and will improve year on year and especially when he playing regularly for us. Watmore has shown enough when he is fit to show he will be a real threat for us in this league and hopefully when we get promoted
vaughan was scoring for everton at the age maja is scoring in league one..younger in fact..but imjuries ravaged hhim..vaugahmn has also had good championship seasons in his career..maja hasnt...at this point in time..vaughan has done far more in football than maja..

you know more than every manager and scout in the championship? james vaughan scored in this league and while maja might be better tna him he mjight not be..vaughan was a precocious teenager as well and now look at him..

When was Vaughan ever a precocious teenager?

He was at Everton as a teenager and didn't really make a mark. They then loaned him out to several championship teams and he was 25 before he got his first "proper" move.

no one knows whether he is champioanhip level...my view of his ability os he is less good than asoro because it was asoror who got the move in the summer..and asoro is not tearing up the championship..now thats not an exact omparator of course but its the best guide we have..
Who would have bought him in the summer? He was injured and had only played 4(?) games in 12 months.

When he was very highly rated at Everton and became the youngest premier league scorer beating Milner's record. A series of bad injuries greatly affected him.

He offers something very different to Maja and Wyke so for that reason he’s an asset to the team.

He’s quick and direct but he needs to get his head up.

People whoa are saying he has no end product are judging him as Watmore the winger. He’s not a winger he’s a natural finisher, although he’ll be very disappointed with his effort last night that only ended up in the net through a lucky rebound.

when he was the youngest scorer in premier league history..and youngest debutant in the league in hisotry for everton..nboth at 16..thats quite precocious..injuries ruined him from then on..

If he had that regularly with his pace he would still be at Man Utd but not many lads have his real pace and the high end technical bit . Will add a lot to us this season even carrying the ball up the pitch
Watmore Maja love child would be canny

Good job you're not our manager mate

No he’s not and never will be. People need to realise he’s not very good.

I think he will be OK in this division if his knee holds up

He's anything but

It's almost automatic without considering the facts.

He doesn't have a fancy name, good looks or a poncy hairdo ...

.... makes you wonder if the critics only fancy pretty boys tbh, Connor still has his fan club on here ;)
I'm convinced this is why people rate Baldwin

Absolutely no doubt hes good enough for league 1. I think he could be competent in the league above. I dont think he'll ever be good enough to be a decent top flight player
Well he was good enough to play in the Premier league a couple of years ago. He was also a star player for England u21s so if he can get back to full fitness I don't see why he couldn't be again.

Still has pace. Still plays with his head down.

If you think the former is more important than the latter then he remains good, if not, then he remains limited.
You are a good poster marra but when it comes to our young players I think you post with your head down ffs. I thought his over all game was very good last night and he showed how good of a player he could be for us.

He absolutely was like. Everton fans really rated him and the club expected him to be very good.

He was a threat when he came on as sub under Allardyce, Norwich away for example when we won near end of the season. The next season which was by and large shite under Moyes.
The spell we had when him, Defoe and Anichebe were the front 3 we actually looked a threat, scored goals and picked up points. Then he got injured. Then we went to shit again.
Next season in championship, he comes back, but rushed back. Game away at Brentford that I attended. Ran their backline ragged all first half. Won a pen to make it 3-1 at halftime, ran half the length of the pitch before being brought down in pen area. Went off second half, we draw 3-3.

So 10 good minutes in 4 years??
