It's because they have watched him more than once . He will earn a living as a professional footballer . He isn't anywhere near good enough to succeed in the premier league

I have watched him over 15 times. I prefer Gooch but never say never. Takes a couple of chances and gets a run and that's all you need. Look at Jimmy Mac. Still playing and earning good money in the PL.

Been on pitch 10 mins and gets man of the match, wins a pen, scores a goal and sets one up!
By Roy hodgsons thought process he will be in the next full England squad..some Spurs kid is now in and he's been injured all season.

I honestly don't mind if we go down this season now, looking forward to seeing a team next season with a mixture of youth and experience, hopefully relegation will encourage us to start puttingsome of the youngsters in the first team

He won't have been tapped up by any PL club.

Unfortunately it's plain to see he's not got it at PL level. At his age (going on 22) he should have shown more. He hasn't even been able to command a squad place until recently and hasn't looked anything than Championship fodder
You are clueless, ur post has proved it

I've just read the write up on the sky website..There singing his praises which is nice to see...Now lets get this lad tied up to a long contract and get him playing regular

I think McClean is technically better. Watmore has a great attitude and real pace and will have a good career I just think the top league is a bit too much . Out of all the kids the one I really like is Greenwood

Yes - he only finished college this Summer - he's been part-time up to now.
He is also really smart with a great work ethic - I'm not going to write him off this soon thanks...
He hasn't been part time. He studied at the same time . There is a difference

Well some berk called him ' dog chasing a balloon' last week...
I think there are a number of us who thinks he lacks the technique to play at the highest level . I'm guessing the Swiss u21 side wasn't packed full of Premier league players?

Isn't the average age of debuts going up? It's now something like 23. He's still young, quick, talented and intelligent. I think we may have a real player on our hands. It's a shame he has already been written off when he has had a great start to the season for a lad at his stage of development.

I think there is a real problem with deciding kids are good enough or not at 16 to 18. People mature at different rates. Most men aren't really physically men until their early 20's and although you loose speed as you get older you gain stamina and power.

He has shown his effectiveness again tonight and is proving at every stage he steps up to the challenge. A few more sub appearances and the odd start this season and I think he could be a real force over the next few years.

You keep bringing up his age without considering the fact he's only been at a pro club for couple of seasons, I have my doubts too but just saying he's 22 and should have done more is bollocks.
Aye. Kevin Phillips had only just made the move from Baldock to Watford at about that kind of age and had been playing as a RB until not much before then. He turned out canny. The current top scorer in the PL was playing non league football until he was about 24. Despite looking very decent when he's came on as a sub he failed to single handledly beat Southampton so he's obviously shite despite being no worse than the majority of senior players on the pitch.
