Henderson and who?

If it's Johnson your wrong he was born in Easington.

10th February 1912

George Holley(Seaham) & John Mordue(Edmondsley)

Raich Carter (Hendon) was a bit of a regular in the thirties, and Bobby Guerney (Silky) played one game in this time but Carter was not in the team for that game.

cheers.

just checked up charlie buchan. born in plumstead and died in monte carlo.

Ah good old Plumstead, not bad for being south of the Wear.

And can't forget Monte Carlo, the little known pit village just outside Witherwack.
:lol::lol:

i used to get his annuals. back to the op though, i dont think it has happened before

my dad said it could have happened with nigel clough and mick harford. anyone able to confirm?

Nee bother - had almost forgotten that Mick Harford played for England.

Funny though, looking back, how a centre-forward could get into the England team just by being a big hard fucker from the north-east who could put himself about a bit. Would never happen nowadays.
