Was it a penalty?

Looked like there was another ball on the pitch at the start of Sterlings run into the box, so potentially play should have been stopped before the alleged tackle took place. Thought the referee was generally poor. But we won and that's all that matters now

It was a pen. The people saying no are the same ones that claimed the one Austria gave away, wasn’t. Horrified by decisions being correct 😂

I thought we deserved the win so discussion on was it or not are irrelevant really.Kasper kept them in it a few times, pickford didnt have anything like that to cope with.

Nope. Anyone saying it was is English at heart.
Bit of a shame really, cause it will be a thing now. Cheating to get to a final. It won't die down.
At least people can stop whining about Maradona.
I don't think it was a pen but I also don't think Sterling dove, he lost his balance. Only on his way down was he first touched imo.

It shouldn't have been a penalty. I'd be livid if it was given against us. Them's the breaks tho. 🤷
I think it was a penalty that has been given time and time again in the PL, clear hip shove 🤷🏻‍♀️

Agree with Kane that his 2nd half penalty was denied and this was given.... a 50/50 that's how football goes situation

I must be watching a different game,i thought it was deffo a penalty straight away.2 of them were all over him,ref thought so and VAR confirmed .

It would have been over turned in the premier League last season imo. It shouldn't have been given either way.

Sterling is basically running with his head a yard infront of his body. Football os a contact sport. Never a foul.
Football is a contact sport yes but contact in the penalty area on the last man on the ball? Clear hip shove?
It's a pelanty all day long shirley

It was soft but if we're going to talk about diving to win free hits at goal then we'd need to start with Christensen's dive for the free kick Denmark scored from.
