its the software that runs the vpn. there are many many others but openvpn is easiest to put on your chrome client so best to use a vpn provider that uses it. at this point most should.

I don't know what a Chromebook is, but if you can download the Opera Web browser that has a VPN built in to it. Free and fine for streaming football in HD.
Just FYI and not complaining at all, this tool is great for geoshifting stuff, it's not at all a replacement for a vpn. its really just a proxy and leaks your ip all over the shop. Additionally opera log everything through the proxy with your unique id and real originating ip info so if someone wanted it it is there (they actually specifically state they will share this info for commercial as well as law enforcement reasons). Most of the big vpn providers who value privacy dont log things as logs that dont exist cannot be demanded. As I say, good tool just beware the limitations.

If all you mainly use is chrome (which i do) then they make sense. Just as fast as a mac and way cheap. All metal build, lightweight, touchscreen and can get android apps. Whats not to like
