Except the Sun, Daily Mail, Independent, Mirror have all piled in now.

Doesn't matter if nobody cared previously and it's old. They do this all the time. I used to work in press for the Labour Party, so I'll give you an example.

Remember the story when in the 1970s Harriet Harman used to be affiliated to an organisation called PIE (the Paedophile Information Exchange) which campaigned for drastically lowering the age of consent? Well, the Daily Mail tried running that story four times. Only in 2014 did it kick up into a massive hoo-hah, because there were all these wild allegations about elite politician paedophile rings flying around. his can get traction this time - wouldn't be surprised at all if it did.

It will have absolutely no impact on whether he goes to the ashes, absolutely none at all.

Unverifiable.

It doesn't help the lad though. It makes it a little bit harder for England to fudge the issue.

Police are more than likely to take it out their hands anyway.

He's not going.

If they find the 2 blokes and the story about the homophobic abuse is true, he won't be charged. Fact.

Give over man. He's committed a crime in front of a CCTV as a celebrity. You're confusing morality with the law. Whether the lad had it coming or has himself committed a crime (he did and he has) is neither here nor there - all it means is he'll get charged too. Honourable vigilantism is not legal. Punching people is against the law - and the police can't exactly sweep it under the carpet.

And besides, this is the ECB we're talking about too. They won't take him. They'll mumble something about not putting him in the firing line. He's not going.

I'm not, he won't be charged if that is true.

Stop talking like you are an expert on the law and the press, you are clearly neither.

Was a case just today in Australia when 2 body builders beat someone up and weren't found guilty off anything due to racial comments that were made to them

That happened just today and is a big story over there.

I don't need to be an expert in the f***ing law to know that smacking someone is illegal!!

And besides, you're making a bit of a fool of yourself with that example. If somebody has been found 'not guilty' and there is a 'case' then they have, by definition, been charged. Which contradicts entirely what you're saying.

Well you certainly aren't, you realise how many cases would go to court if this is what people were charged for.

They might not find the 2 lads and if then he will be charged.

The two lads are mitigating circumstances. They would affect his sentencing and trial, not the decision of the prosecution service and/or police to charge him. Your example, of all things, supports that.

Of course, not everyone who commits a crime gets charged by the police. Not everyone who smacks someone gets charged. But that is because the police need to ration their time and resources practically. Crucially, not everyone who smacks someone is:

a) a well-known celebrity
b) been caught red-handed and clearly identifiable on CCTV
c) been dragged through the coals in the media, meaning the police can't turn a blind eye.

It's pretty basic stuff - you're just arguing the toss.

I am not, its your opinion, I don't agree. Stop talking like your opinion is the absolute truth and a fact

It isn't.

It is a fact that smacking someone like that is illegal.

It is a fact that he has committed a crime, irrespective of any mitigating circumstances.

It is a fact that the example you used to support your opinion that he wouldn't be charged, actually better supported the argument that he would be charged. The two bodybuilders in your example must have been charged.

The rest is conjecture.

Its not a fact that every time you are involved in a scuffle on a night out you go to trial, you don't

Your opinion is not fact, I respect it, you are entitled to it, but its not a fact.

I never said that.

So its not a fact he will be charged, glad that we sorted that out.

Lets wait and see

First of all the video shows nothing before or after, and they haven't even interview anyone yet. People rushing to judgments.

I never said it was. He should be though.

I said I thought he should, and thought he would.

It was you who said....
