People generally have more time on Saturdays. So meeting up elsewhere is easier. Night matches most supporters get into the vicinity of the ground only a couple of hours before KO. Easier to meet up at pub near ground in those circumstances.
I disagree.

Sounds like the pubs near the ground are pretty shocking tbf.

They are.Was replying to a lad coming on train from Sutton going to Witton asking about pubs.Just think better off staying on train extra 5 mins and going to centre. If I was arriving in birmingham 2 hours before kick off I certainly wouldn't be heading to pubs around ground.

Another thing to note.

One of the pubs near the ground, that lets away fans in before the game, doesn't after the game.
The other one that lets you in before, was closed after game.

This was last time, mind. On a Saturday afternoon.

Where are people drinking in the city centre, like?

The last time, there was a load of us in Broad Street.
Numerous pubs including a couple of 'Spoons, A Yates, Walkabout and plenty other bars (And food places).

How long's a taxi take, in Match-Traffic?

Train is 10 min journey.
Every half hour.

About £3 return iirc ...
And one leaves, I think at about 7:17 (arr 7:27)?
Witton Station, 10 mins max walk to the away end of ground.

no idea I'm normally pissed/tipsy - if you've got the trains sorted I'll go with the flow

meet at the figure of eight and work our way down to new street ?

Think they're more regular on a match day

Can't wait for this one now. Wish it was still on the saturday. Hate watching everyone else playing their games on a weekend knowing we have to wait another couple of days.
