1. First few matches were decent, then we dipped massively. Seems like we're on the up at the moment.

2. Have to admit I'm surprised how well you're doing, especially as Clarke isn't an experienced manager (coach, yes; manager, no). No doubt many among your own support predicted you'd struggle a bit when Hodgson left.

3. Yes

4. I tend to think of WBA in the same category as Sunderland: we have similar stories in recent years of the promotion-relegation-promotion cycle.

I've not had much interaction with West Brom fans, so I'll just say you have silly accents ;)

5.'Expect'... well, I certainly hope we'll push on to the upper-mid-table realm (8th-10th) but I think it'll be crowded in those spots this season. I have the utmost confidence in MON to get the lads playing back to standard, so hopefully we'll achieve this.

6.Based on current form, I'd say you have a good chance of finishing 7th/8th. IIRC you're in 4th right now, but I'd expect Arsenal and/or Spurs to work their way up the table at some point. Then again, anything can happen...

7. If Sess is on his best form, he's unplayable. Steven Fletcher is (almost) always a goal threat. Our keeper is excellent-- he's really found his feet this year.

Odemwingie has a nasty habit of scoring against us whenever we meet, so I'd imagine he'll be giving us trouble. Shane Long has been brilliant for you as well; he'll be difficult to handle.

8. Centre mid. And unless James McClean gets back to his old ways, we'll need a new winger as well.

9. Mignolet
Bardsley Cuellar O'Shea Rose
McClean Gardner Cattermole Johnson
Sessegnon Fletcher

10. 2-1 home win

Not the case mate.

I was tempted just to forget about this weeks but after seeing the amount of replies from the decent Sunderland supporters it would be rude of me not to use them.

Good on you mate to rise above the idiots, all clubs have them. Excellent article aswell. Genuinely hope you are not put off by the keyboard warriors, and hope you return next week, regardless of the result.

What are your opinions on WBA as a football club alongside it's supporters?

What seems interesting to me is that WBA seem to have made a succession of positive managerial appointments. Considering how much transition there has been at the club it's impressive that Mowbray, Di Matteo, Hodgeson and Clarke are all managers with similar sort of approaches. How much of that to is to do with the club's senior management and that bloke who's just gone off to work for the FA?

1. What are your opinions on the start Sunderland have made to the season?
Disapointing as I expected more with the signings we made, but AJ seemed to start playing the past few weeks, get Sess up to full speed and we'll be okay.
2. What are your opinions on the start WBA have made to the season?
Suprising but not totally unexpected, I think you're one of the better sides in the league, just needed to find that consistancy and it seems you have.
3. You've made a slow start to the season, is Martin O'Neill the right man to take Sunderland forward?
Yes. 100%.
4. What are your opinions on WBA as a football club alongside it's supporters?
Always enjoyed mingling with them, been twice and seen us lose 3-0 and 4-0, but somehow always had a good time.
5. What are you expecting from Sunderland from the remainder of the season?
In short? More.
6. Where do you reckon WBA will finish and do we have a chance of Europe?
I sadly think you'll trail off and finish around 8th, but there's no reason you can't be this season's Newcastle, but not everyone has their luck.
7. What players in your team should we look out for, and who in our team do you reckon will give you the most problems?
Cattermole is bang on form, Fletcher will always score given the chance, AJ and Sess is they want to hit full form. For you? Mulumbu and Morrison are both excellent, and Shane Long could easily get the best of John O'Shea.
8. January is looming, is there any particular position which needs strengthening?
We need someone next to Catts, simple as that. Who? That's not my job.
9. What side is Martin O'Neill likely to choose on Saturday?
Mig, Bardo, O'Shea, Cuellar, Rose, Cattermole, Gardner/Colback, Larsson, Sessegnon, Johnson, Fletcher
10. And finally, score predictions.
We need to win, and I think we will, we're due one over you lot, 2-1. Larsson and Cuellar.

4. What are your opinions on WBA as a football club alongside it's supporters?Similar to us fan wise, had to stick with the Yo-yo tag for a while, like i said i dont mind WBA had some of my best moments following the lads at the hawthorns

5. What are you expecting from Sunderland from the remainder of the season? Would snap your hands off for a top ten finish now

7. What players in your team should we look out for, and who in our team do you reckon will give you the most problems? Fletcher, out in front of goal he'll put it in the net, Johnsons turning up now and Mignolet, bright future between the sticks

8. January is looming, is there any particular position which needs strengthening? Someone alongside Catts would be ideal

9. What side is Martin O'Neill likely to choose on Saturday?

There you go mate

1. What are your opinions on the start Sunderland have made to the season?
Poor, with many of our key players out of form. No major worries so far though.

2. What are your opinions on the start WBA have made to the season?
You've looked good, you seem to have incrementally improved each season and are beginning to play good football. I doubt your current run will continue but you probably already know that.

3. You've made a slow start to the season, is Martin O'Neill the right man to take Sunderland forward?
yes, 100% yes

4. What are your opinions on WBA as a football club alongside it's supporters?
I know a few baggies fans though don't really have any opinions, I don't like your ground though.

5. What are you expecting from Sunderland from the remainder of the season?
To stabilise, improve in January, then begin to push up the table, hopefully top 10 and decent cup run.

6. Where do you reckon WBA will finish and do we have a chance of Europe?
Should finish in the top 10 but I doubt you'll get into Europe unless you get some kind of cup runner up qualification.

7. What players in your team should we look out for, and who in our team do you reckon will give you the most problems?
Sess and Johnson have gotten better though still aren't 100%, and Fletcher is always dangerous.

8. January is looming, is there any particular position which needs strengthening?
A 2nd striker and a CB

9. What side is Martin O'Neill likely to choose on Saturday?
Mig
Bardo - O'Shea - Cuellar - Rose
Larsson -Catts - Gardner - Johnson
Sess
Fletcher

10. And finally, score predictions.
3-2

1. What are your opinions on the start Sunderland have made to the season?

- in a word, UNDERWHELMING. expectations were probably too high as usual.

2. What are your opinions on the start WBA have made to the season?

- IMPRESSIVE getting rid of the yo-yo tag will be a relief, also Steve Clarke has proven a good learner from his previous clubs and an excellent man in his own right.

3. You've made a slow start to the season, is Martin O'Neill the right man to take Sunderland forward?

- Yes, chopping and changing will set us back years.

4. What are your opinions on WBA as a football club alongside it's supporters?

- Always had time for the Baggies, more so than Wolves etc - let alone any Brummies. Visited the Hawthorns many times and apart from the intervention of West Midlands finest had some good craic. Often had a good time whenever you have visited and was speaking to my dad recently who advised how back in the 60/70s of great times in the old Throstle Club!

5. What are you expecting from Sunderland from the remainder of the season?

- just to have a go, try and regain confidence by finding the form they were showing when O'Neill arrived. I know everybody says it, but we're a lot better than we are showing.

6. Where do you reckon WBA will finish and do we have a chance of Europe?

- Top 10. Europe? - outside chance, unlikely but why not. Set your sights high eh?

7. What players in your team should we look out for, and who in our team do you reckon will give you the most problems? - for us obviously Fletcher (who you'll know well from the Wolfees) - if on formSessegnon, Johnson and of course out midfield destroyer Catterrmole;)

- for your lot? - I'd imagine Odemwingie of course Long & Dorrans

8. January is looming, is there any particular position which needs strengthening?

First team!

9. What side is Martin O'Neill likely to choose on Saturday?

- he rarely changes his side, staying loyal to his squad (injuries excepted)

10. And finally, score predictions.

- an entertaining 2-2 draw for me

Thanks

And here's to an entertaining game!

Perhaps you can answer a question in return fella. Will you be boing-boinging at the end of the game, but more importantly, HWatever happened to Groarty Dick? ;)

We've got some canny posters on here marra but we've also got more than our fair share of f***ing arseholes (which you've found out for yourself) they tend to try and outdo each other to see who can be the most offensive.
They aren't representative of Sunderland supporters in general, in fact most of them only started going after the new ground was built.

You've had a canny start to the season and good luck to you (apart from this weekend) ;)

In fairness wba will never qualify for europe, well not this year at least.

They made 1 of the best signings of the summer by getting lukaku on loan mind.
