Aye, it feels like a Marathon trying to make a signing.Marathon.
Lighten up fella. Bet you're a right laugh to have a pint with.so you believe its safc's fault re borini not signing? You wont wear the possibility maybe Liverpool may have reneged on a contractual matter out of our control?
According to bbc Newcastle news at 7.30 this morning.
All 3 very close to signing.
Barry was a left sided defender that developed into a competent midfielder (at least MoN, even, Fabio, Martinez and mancini thought)....maybe there's a possibility Alonso could do something similarDon't see the point in signing Alonso now we have van Aanholt. We need a versatile player to cover fullback positions.
i think he said if the deal was right he'd still take himTo be fair, Gus said we're not after Alonso anymore after getting Paddy van Aanholt, so he may have been close last week but certainly isn't now.
Borini himself is the deciding factor to this transfer either happening or not, what his reasons are I haven't got a clue.so you believe its safc's fault re borini not signing? You wont wear the possibility maybe Liverpool may have reneged on a contractual matter out of our control?

But wasn't it something along the lines of 'on loan for free' IE it isn't happening? He also said he'd still take him, if the opportunity arose.
Back end of the season we were beating every fcker.Three signings that will put us no further forward than last season

Clammy and uncomfortable....has been the word of choice to describe our transfer dealings. Most recently used about Alonso, Vergini and (interestingly) Borini.
But what does 'close' mean in these circumstances? Is it a case of everything being agreed except for one detail which needs to fall into place for the deal to happen? Does it just mean we have had a bid accepted?
The Borini one in particular seems weird.
If we signed three other players, it would still only be replacing these three and not any further forward again.Three signings that will put us no further forward than last season
International paperwork closeClose?
Very close?
Not very close?
Miroslav close?

Think you're being wildly optimistic there. Can't see it myself.
