On Saturday David Vaughan proved why I have been chomping at the bit for him to be in our starting 11...

He run the show from start to finish...

A great game and well done fella, you didn't half take your opportunity....!

I don't understand how a player can look superb one game, then be shite for the next four.
And keep this same run going every time.

My only guess is that he comes back in and sides generally wont plan for that. He therefore might get a bit more freedom and his weaknesses in being slow, one footed and weak aren't exposed. After playing well opposition teams will likely have been told to keep tight on him and he doesn't then get the time and space he needs to play at this level.

My guess, could be wrang.

Had a great season with Blackpool where he played every game, and they were a terrible side where he was one of only two or three "threats." He is very inconsistent for us, though. Maybe if we don't play on the ground and with confidence, he fades out of games - he does offer nothing physically, and he does seem to need space.

Just out of interest who else was available to play CM?

Also should N'Diaye be expected to play twice a week after just joining?
