He was quality today, he's just so calm and composed on the ball, good footballer.

Was he playing? Maybe you do miss things when you watch on the box.

Apologies. Got to the game late and assumed it was him (hadn't even thought of Diarra). Clearly need a new pair of glasses.

Diarra was poor.

I can't argue, he was very good today, maybe he realises he is now playing for his future and this produces performances like today. He's set himself big standards now.

He produces performances like that 90% of the time. He had a poor game against Everton in cup and has never been given real opportunity since.

Many players in starting 11 enjoy opposite fate. They have a good game 1 in 10 and the memory sticks like glue.

Davey Vaughan

Better than Xavi. Tremendous yesterday. God knows how he hasn't started more games!

Re: Davey Vaughan

I've said a few times that, he's class

Bring back Davey Vaughan.

...so you'll make up a ton of stuff based on nowt anyway.

Nobody knows why he's been kept out, but there's reason today and in the past to suggest he is an important player for us. That's all you can say really.

When vaughan plays well everything goes through him. He hardly ever plays well against good class of opposition who pressurise us further up the pitch but thats no reason to have him not involved at all. I'm happy to criticise O'Neill, every manager makes mistakes - however your criticism was broader quastioning his ability to manage in modern day football which was plainly ridiculous.

Garbage that mind  He would have been snapped up by top 4 and playing for them every week if that were try rather than attracting interest from Cardiff.

Re: Davey Vaughan

The whole team started at a very high tempo, we've just got to do that more often, and keep it going, Vaughan and Sess must have been on the sanatogen, they were class.

Re: Davey Vaughan

The lad was class, his touch, close control,passing,heading,movement,tackling-just pure class.

since his horror show against everton in the cup last season he seems to have been off the pace. good to see him back and wanting the ball, and probing forward. a clever player and good to have in the squad

This^^, against Everton didn't we play him left back when he came on.

Re: Davey Vaughan

I doubt the Everton game effected his confidence that much like, he came on as a sub and did competely fuck up a clearance but i think it was more the injuries and then not getting back in the side that effected him.
