MON isn't to blame for keeping him out because...fitness or something but all credit to MON for bringing him back is I think the current reading of the situation

That's a weird one. Bruce rarely used him, then came MON, made him a regular and he looked very very good in our CM. Then, after the Everton cup game, he was again relegated to the bench, this time by MON. And now he gets a start and he's playing outstanding.

...............what an excellent performance, my man of the match - class all game, nippy as hell and was all over West Ham like a rash showing real determination to get everything he could.......David Vaughn I salute thee lad, well done and he should be in the team next week ;):-D

This!! It's a disgrace fetching him on with feck all time left. Also a joke how many clowns on here thought he wasn't good enough. Fools!!

A class footballer. Technically brilliant. Good judgement of the ball, uses his body well and is always positive. Have always rated him. The whole team look balanced today. It's not a coincidence that Vaughan played and Colback was at LB.

Outstanding performance.

but I don't buy these implications by some that MoN has been ignoring Vaughan. Fitness was an issue for Vaughan at the end of last season - from his own mouth in an interview, his more recent performances until Bolton have been poor. He looked a different player. I don't think MoN plays his favourites - he really liked Meyler but he hardly ever got a game. He does go for experience though - wickam's the only one who'd be justified in feeling a bit agrieved.

And seb didn't "look better beside him". Larsson had an excellent game aswell. But vaughan mom.

N'Diaye might have to wait for his first start.

History disagrees with you. Maybe not favourites in terms of personality (though I'm not sure how one would know who he likes on a personal level) but he very much plays his favorite players as far as line ups go

MON will take some flak for this one, even though none of us actually know the reasons behind Vaughan's exclusion. For all we know, Vaughan might have had recurring niggles during his recovery from the injury (which sidelined him for quite some time), which subsequently prompted MON to take necessary precautions to get Vaughan back to full fitness, and at the same time allow him the time to build some strength. He looked far stronger today than I remembered him. That might be attributed to MON's coaching. I do believe that he rates him; he wouldn't include him otherwise. He's had opportunities to part Vaughan from the club. I hope we'll get to see more of Vaughan in the future.
Nonsense. Blackpool fans always maintained he was the boss that let Adam play.

proper footballer. We looked better all over the pitch for having him to give the ball to. MOM by a mile, although i thought that was the best weve playd all season and there were some other good performances out there. MON said on the radio afterwards that he has been struggling for fitness and the game would have done him good. Was out best player 2nd half agains Bolton. Might have a decent run in the team now. Wed be mad to sell him uness hes desperate to leave.
Larsson's being playing like a shattered sloth for 12 months

He was excellent today and when he is on song, he does make us play decent, good to watch football as he has more movement than some and he is always wanting the ball and moved us forward more than some too, taking a few chances. This immediately takes the pressure off Seb and allows him to relax a bit. Colback and Gardner are both excellent at full back and all of a sudden, with one signing (N'Diaye) coming in, we seem to have genuine competition for places again.

I expected a tough afternoon today and Vaughan and Larsson in midfield had me a little worried but they were both excellent along with Titus, JoS and Fletch. A good all round team performance today

Outstanding today.

Will it be enough to keep a first team place ?

Sounds as though he is just about back to his full fitness, would play him against bolton, and will probably start against wigan, back to the form that got him in the team when MON first came, if he plays aswell in the coming weeks, MON will have a good problem with cattermole back to fitness....

Agree with this. I haven't been Vaughan's biggest fan over the past year but he was great today. That said, I still need convincing that he is the long term answer for us in the middle. If he can keep us this sort of form, fair enough
