Works hard, I think he lacks quality but its hardly like we made him alot of chances, he isn't going to get much joy via long punts from the keeper or full back.

Balls into the box and corners was also very poor on Friday, you cant just float balls to the back post and hope to create something, pick someone out and send it in with pace.

Grafts his arse off and is very good playing with his back to goal. He's by no means a world beater but I'd much rather have lads like him playing for the shirt than supposed better players who couldn't give a monkeys. The lad tries his heart out, and hopefully the goals will come.
His first touch let him down badly on a number of occasions. Hopefully he'll get off the mark soon.

The money isn't there for quality, we all know that while Short is here.

So hard work and team spirit might be all we have this season
I understand that, but its frustrating wasting 500/700k on a player when maybe that money could be added to future sales and at least buy a better quality forward, yes it doesn't guarantee goals but quality players make things happen.

IF future sales go back into recruitment. I don't think it will otherwise we'd be looking elsewhere

Think once he gets his first goal he will improve. The pre season pen missed and Grabbon seemingly taking over the responsibilities, he needs a confidence boost. Works his arse off mind, which is great to see in a forward.
Superb attitute, he'd be useful as backup, but you can see why he wasn't a prolific Championship striker even in his prime.
We need someone better to start games IMO. Grabban looked a class above.

Yes he's played one competitive league game for us. We need to write him off now.
No one writes him off, he does what was expected of him. But people are deluded to think a 29 year old striker from League One who scored a maximum of 14 goals at this level in his prime (Daryl Murphy scored 27 in a season by the way) would be good enough to lead the line.
He is what he is, a very limited hard working striker who made a huge step up from League One.
Decent backup and nothing more.

Had a good debut still.

Not angry, frustrated with monumental ball bags who are more than happy with poor signings.
I will defend him when he plays well and I will criticise when he plays badly. What's difficult to understand about that? Simple people catergorize posters into groups, youre either a happy clapper or a bed wetter on here, it's pathetic. How about just reading the post and using your brain.

Thats you out the question then.
