Nowt wrong with being a dirty little shithouse at times either. It's a good leveller. We'll see even less shocks against the big boys if the little'uns aren't allowed to rough them up a bit.No it won't. It'll go the other way and benefits divers as (as we have seen already) on VAR they simply look for any contact to give it.
It will be shit. How far back will VAR checks go? If you score, but it turns out you won the ball illegally 15 seconds earlier, would it be ruled out?
And this won't stop "big club bias", it's still up to the ref whether to use VAR.
Absolutely shit. The sooner it fucks off, and takes hideous transfer fees with it, the better
Disagree. Where does it end? If we want to be that clinical the technology will be around shortly where the whole match could be electronically refereed without the need for a referee. Every millimetre offside will be detected etc etc. Not for me - eleven humans v eleven humans with a human ref and lino’s please.Disagree, games should be decided by the mistakes of the players not the officials.......Many years ago Scarborough played Chelsea in the FA Cup at home. They were losing 1-0 with 5 mins to go when the ball rolled down the Chelsea defenders arm which was in the air at the time....The penalty was not given. Had the game been drawn the replay would have gone to Stamford Bridge, would have been televised with a shared gate and the entire debts of Scarborough would have been wiped out on the back of that one decision/penalty. .
About 2 years later the club went bankrupt for around £1 million and 125 years of history went to the wall.
While an extreme example, no way should games with such massive implications be allowed to be decided by human error where the technology is available and workingin many sports that can deal with it.
I know. I won't be going if we reach the land of the entitled and greedy. Both going nowhere Rocko lad.
Human error is part of the game, either in your favour or against. Taking that away to get every decision perfect is going to ruin the game as a sport and a spectacle.
More and more arguments and controversies with var, who ever thinks it’s going to sort problems need there heads looked at, it just causes more problemsWhat use is football without arguments and controversy?
Norwich playing Newcastle tonight?I hope the ref misses a hand ball in the last minute, VAR works perfectly, and Norwich score the resulting penalty to beat the scum.
So you've never yelled at a ref?
Just accepted human error happen so nowt to complain about
It's the final countdown!!Whether you like it or loathe it, it’s going to be interesting this season!
Liverpool mate.More and more arguments and controversies with var, who ever thinks it’s going to sort problems need there heads looked at, it just causes more problems
Norwich playing Newcastle tonight?
No worries.
Plenty of footballing luddites are against it because they don't like change, but it will also stop big teams getting dubious decisions as well imo.
Can't believe it has taken so long tbh.
I know. I won't be going if we reach the land of the entitled and greedy.
I have not watched much premier league football in the past season our 2 but I’m watching this weekend as var has to be involved and I am wondering who it will favour, the big teams our the little teams
In the premier league? I must of missed thatMe neither. Thankfully we won't be there any time soon. Tbh I don't bother watching football on the box anymore, unless it's an excuse to get out for a pint.
It's been used before. It favoured Liverpool.
