I agree they are and they have but there are always games throughout the season where it's really tight and the big team gets an awful decision which wins them the game. Hopefully VAR will address this and give us some shock results

And they is also times when a big team gets a awful decision against them,in just the same way

It’s up to the referee to use it though. I don’t know each referee personally but I’d pose the question, are there any out there stubborn or vain enough to disregard it? Although I’d imagine it will make their job an awful lot easier.

Think like anything else that involves humans and personalities some will probably not and some won’t and some will be more vain and stubborn than others.

I would use it to cover my own arse if I was them to be more sure.

But he is offside. You're either on or off. Only 2 possible answers. On or off. Not "just a little bit offside". If his toe is offside, he's offside. It's simple.

Absolutely. That's why I'm all for it.

People seem to conveniently excuse this bit. There’s no grey area with an offside. He is or he isn’t therefore VAR will be useful for this situation.

Aye, me n you both. The way the game is played now they need all the help they can handle. I’m still unconvinced by the whole thing but Given time I’m sure it will get better. Either way it’s not going away.

Correct. No grey area with an offside, but there is with the time to call an offside.
Goal or no goal is a question of "if". Offside is a question of "when" and "if".
VAR can certainly be useful in some situations, offside just isn't one of them, as the if depends on the when and you cannot be sure, the when is correct.

And here we go - Sterling offside by a thousandth of a millimetre - no goal. What a load of utter shite.

I am confused, surely you not saying he was offside and VAR gave offside therefore the correct decision.

Yet it’s a load of shite, yep really confused.

Surely it’s a load of shite when it gets the decision wrong, not when it gets the decision right!

He assisted with his feet that were onside, he was offside by a millimeter with his shoulder. How many goals/assists has Raheem Sterling used his shoulder for?

You’re missing the point. There is no way a human being can control being a thousandth of a millimetre offside in the first place. It’s crazy. The bloody wind could be blowing his shirt two millimetres beyond the defender and good old VAR will pick it up as offside. Not for me.
You have actually said yourself it was offside!

Yet in the same breath calling it shit, you agreeing it was right!!
See post above. I’m convinced you must work for the VAR crew.

And there is the problem...Ask any one who has played as a forward if they lean towards the way the play is going when attacking. Its a natural position to take up, going towards the ball.

I am not saying a human being can control it, but have no idea what that has to do with the fact he was offside!

Nobody is blaming the player, he was either offside or on, if he is on VAR should not give it, if he is off VAR should give it.

Think with respect you missing the point.

Yeah, I think there may still be some arguments against it
