That's a bit of an odd story by the BBC though don't you think? Who is this so called businessman? Name?

If you look at suspects MO in NL since 2012 its always the same...
arrested for shoplifting - kicks off
arrested for theft from vehicles - kicks off and attacks police officer
arrested for discharging firearm on street (took pot shots at house occupied by somebody he had fallen out with)
arrested for rape
targets witnesses to rape and attempts arson on a property
in court on 4th march this year for violent rape
targets reporters and women he has had fall outs with

It seems that since 2012 he has been known to local police for being total nutjob

and then he had time inbetween those arrests from 2012 to pop over to Chechnya?

The www has changed this world, it’s only going to get worse imo. Something has to give more and more normal people seem to have very left or very right opinions.

We should be knocking walls down not building them imo.

No doubt the word “snowflake” will make an appearance

is a fair point... and my guess is certain people (within social services, police and other support organizations) will have a lot of explaining to do over coming months.
To be fair, the Dutch do have an excellent track record in rehabilitation... but this nutjob is an example of the exception to the rule (most countries will have a few of them)
I suppose the Dutch mentality is there is more to society than simply crime and punishment... if it does work for say 95% of all cases then its considered a positive or good way?

How's he not in jail?
Sounds like the authorities were asking for it if they're letting a rapist loose to fire guns and set fire to houses.

No doubt some luvvie liberal will have thought it against his human rights to put him in jail and deny him a shooter. I wonder if the left in the Netherlands has been able to hollow out law and order over there as the left wing has done over here?

Don’t be so f***ing stupid. No liberal would say that someone with rape charges and a history of violence should be allowed on the streets and given access to a gun. Stop creating an argument about political leanings where there isn’t one
