Using the word Guys in work emails

I’ve never, ever seen the word guys used in an email. It’s always “gents” in my experience. My little lad has said it a couple times, which I’ve told him never to use it again. He will speak a delightfully pitmatic dialect if it’s the last thing I do.

My boss uses it all the time, much to my irritation.

My old boss would use it a lot in person, but never over email. He would always use “team” which I found laughable when you had 2 of us pulling the weight of the full department.

Do you use it? Apparently you’re supposed to use words like “team” instead , due to the negative Guy Fawkes etymology.
Personally, I hate it. I use “chaps” if I’m talking to men, “folks” if it’s a mixed audience.
I would start looking for another job if that is actually real

I would never use the term "guys" ever.
