US PGA Championship

Second golf major of the year starts Thursday from Bethpage Black. Unlike the Masters there is a good amount of TV coverage on Sky Sports. Looking at around 6 hours live on the Thursday and Friday.

Anyone had a bet yet?

Feels a bit strange having another major so soon after the Masters, but at the same time I think it'll be good having the 4 month major season.

I've gone for:

Fleetwood, accuracy off the tee is vital here, just needs his putter to behave itself.
Molinari, so close at the Masters, that experience will serve him well, he has also been very good with his accuracy.
Finau, that first major can't be far away.
Spieth, looked a lot better at the Byron Nelson, not spraying as many of his tee shots around, putted really well and has the motivation of the Grand Slam as well. For betting purposes, his poor early season form has him at a good price.

Finau at the moment because he belts it miles despite having a 3/4 swing

Going to have a look later.

Hardest (in theory) major to win as it has the top 100 from the World Rankings in it and doesn’t waste its time with the Woosnams of this world.

It was felt it needed a shot in the arm. For some reason folk seemed a bit underwhelmed by it. With the move to May we now have a major a month from April and its fitted in the schedule nicely
They mentioned the olympics too. They had to move it last year for them and would have to do so every four years so felt instead of it going back and forth just move it for good. Also giving it a boost like you said.

Some good offers about if anyone's interested.

Willy Hill give you a free tenner for every eagle your selection makes and Betway are paying out if they lead at the end of the 1st, 2nd or 3rd rounds.

Molinari to win and might go ew on Leishman, Wise and Watson. Watson hasn't been the golfer he was a few years back but he is gradually getting back to been a decent golfer.

Got 7 selections split across three 'tiers', all to 10 places and all with a variety of stake size.

Top of the market: Rory 12/1, Rahm 18/1, Schauffle 28/1

Mid-market: Cantlay 45/1, Bubba 50/1

Outsiders: Woodland 70/1, Kokrak 200/1
