US boy aged 9 kills sister with a gun over a console controller

The mentality of American people (generalising obviously) is f***ing crackers.

For a 9 year old to have been able to pick up a gun, the likelihood says it belongs to the house therefore his parents should have been immediately arrested for neglect at the very least.

But no, let's just blame the video games and lay no fault at the feet of the parents or the culture.

I used to play road rash when I was 9 or so. Not once did I go out on a motorbike with a baton or chain and start bashing other motorbike riders.

But what if a third sibling enters the room and, not knowing which of the first two is good and which is bad, takes the only sensible option and blows both away with a bazooka?

Used to happen all the time when I was a kid. Best bubble gum you could get.

Side note, but what a game that was...

mate i played and watched all sorts as a kid and never once thought about doing any of that shit in real life

I do think being exposed to the Hun and other various porn sites at an early age has fucked me up sexually tho

While I'm sure the parents will be utterly devastated, it's their fault there was a loaded gun in the house
Regardless of that, as a family they would have been safer overall with the gun in the house. After all, it would only be a matter of time before a burglar broke in and tried to murder all of them, before stealing the console they were arguing over.

So what is your solution to this situation and how likely the solution is to be implemented ?
