Urgent advice needed Gatwick to Heathrow

I'm flying back to the UK in December. The day I fly no direct flights to Newcastle. So I'm flying from here to Gatwick then Heathrow to Newcastle. I have two hours approx to get from Gatwick to Heathrow.
Can this be done ?

Can you not just get a coach from Gatwick. If you're going to waste 2hrs in a bus to catch a flight for an hour, you may as well just bus it north.

What are your flight times? Two hours feels tight. Traffic could be horrific depending on the times.

Took me about 45 mins in an Uber but that doesn’t include waiting around after a couple of drivers cancelled

Do you know how often they run? You could be standing outside waiting for one for 20 mins.
Think the nail in the coffin is the 50mph limit on m23 at moment.

My daughter did this to Liverpool recently. I think you have to go into London Victoria from Gatwick and then change buses for wherever you want to get to. She landed At Gatwick at about half 10 in the morning and only arrived in Liverpool about midnight

At 3pm it will take at least 2hrs in travel alone.

See Manc is not a bad option. On the way back, can't you fly to somewhere else in Europe and then fly on e.g. Italy, France etc... (not sure where Newcastle has flights to that would fly onto Malta).
