He spend 11m on Eastleigh, investment wise. He’s now giving them away for £1 to ensure they can be bought quickly. Also inserting clauses to ensure new owners also run them sustainably.

THE D:cool:NALD

Out of respect for the EFL process, neither Sunderland AFC, Ellis Short nor Stewart Donald will be making any further comment on the sale of the club until approval is granted. ;)

Get the feeling this has been going on for quite some time unbeknown to Bain and Coleman. Few people with their noses out of joint including Micky as the other interest has clearly just being kept warm in case this falls through - sensible not to burn your bridges until the last minute.

Amazed how much Micky Grey knows about how bad the deal is when everyone to a man is trying to get information

In reply to “did you listen to Grey on talkSPORT.

No - but I have been told. I can't talk about the deal itself until EFL approve as per statement but I can advise if facts are untrue so feel free to ask and If I can answer I will for sure.

Reply to are you coming Sunday,

I would like to go. I need to check with the EFL its ok as if I am lucky enough to be involved it will be my only chance to see the club in working action before next season and see what the fan experience is like. So yes but EFL dependant

“The fan experience” it’s f***ing horrible

Just to assure @SafcFans All money invested in @eastleighfc is mine - easily verified. No Americans/ hedge funds etc/Mr Bain etc. I have public listed shares worth more than 8M!!! and you don't gift 11M to anyone if u only have 8M. If approved for SAFC ask me and I will clear up.

What a guy!

Would love to meet him !

Dont think it will be on Sunday

Me neither ...it could be decent as there will be no nerves now we know our fate. Obviously Wolves will be celebrating. im sure our fans dont begrudge them anything. I think our fans may see their joy as a challenge and try to out sing them all game. I might actually be a decent afternoon

Gordon Armstrong tweeted that The Dons personal wealth is closer to £100m.
This would make sense as he has already said he gifted Eastleigh £11m.

More important than the money he put in is the fact that he’s left them a division higher than when he started, with much bigger crowds and in a better financial position. He’s learnt from when he tried to propel them from the Conference into the League with extra spending and it wasn’t enough by itself. By the sound of it this is something he treats as a mistake, but they’re not saddled with a problematic squad or financial problems as a result, he’s just accepted that it’s going to take them more time and building to get there.

All of those principles are sound if he applies them to us. What we don’t know is whether his experience in the Conference is enough at our level and whether his approach will work with us. But we do have some evidence that the person taking us over has a bit of money and a bit of experience at running a football club. That and Short wiping off a nine-figure debt before he went seems to leave us in a better position than about a week ago, all things considered.

Just liked this tweet, hahaha.

@stewartdonald3 if interested in fans opinions "easier" things to fix few ideas, go back to more traditional home strip even let fans vote on it, rename stands even stadium again fans vote, replace pink seats, chase Rodwell from club with shitty stick, give us team to be proud of
