Update from Mr Donald

Not sure how I feel about that level of communication if I'm honest.

I don't necessarily think he's said anything wrong thus far but I feel like there needs to be a certain degree of separation.

Are you mad!!!! if he starts ending his tweets with FTM then we know we have our white knight

We have but I think he makes a point. The original release stated "out of respect for the EFL process, neither Sunderland AFC, Ellis Short nor Stewart Donald will be making any further comment on the sale of the club until approval is granted", and yet here we are discussing him spouting off on social media. It doesn't sit well with me if I'm honest.

Not another Donald who takes to twitter to spout shite

But why justify his wealth to some f***ing keyboard warrior or numpty on twitter.....rise above it and wait for the whole lot to be made public.
He’s not. He is being questioned on national radio by people claiming to be itk (Grey) so he’s defending himself and putting fans at ease. Follow him, he will approve. Replying to lots of fans regarding his intentions etc.

Gotta love this board

Nothing wrong at all with a chairman who will engage with the fans in an open and transparent way, we’ve been apoplectic with the last one for sitting up on high and saying bugger all!

He's a (potential) chairman mate. I'm concerned that this level of transparency could undermine managers and put players off.

I'm not saying that'll definitely happen, it's just a concern. The idea of a chairman is he's behind the scenes. People complained about Ellis Short for a number of reasons but the lack of communication was usually directed at the fact he hadn't even spoken to our last manager. I'm happy for Stew to chat with our new manager as much as he wants.

Time will tell, I remember the ice bucket challenge days when everyone thought short was a great guy

Remember when he nominated Pards, Colback and Ashley

The Chronicle have reported virtually nowt on this takeover on there social media, were as when we were getting relegated they were all over it, the fuckers are seething

Probably pretending its not happening. Wankers.

Not keen on someone like this on twitter mind, the peterborough chairman gets on there and it always ends up in a right clusterfuck, especially if the team are losing, manager under pressure etc. But hey ho.

I don't mind him contacting fans, whether it by via e-mail or press release or whatever it may be. I think my concern is more about twitter being the medium, and the potential for that to go tits.

Again, I'm not saying it's currently a problem.

I would be surprised if he is tweeting loads once its confirmed but he probably recognises this is opportunity to win over the fans and having Micky Gray shouting all over national radio isnt going to help this. He doesnt know that the majority of SAFC fans think Gray is a bellend
