I've been living in my current home for almost 6 months, as the house was previously occupied by Indians it naturally stunk of curry, which took a while to get rid of but that's another story.

I'll get to my point, in one of the corners of the living room there's a really strong smell of cherry tobacco, what's strange is the smell wasn't always there. The walls have been papered and we don't have a carpet so I can figure out where it's came from, especially as no other areas of the house smells of tobacco.

Has anyone else got this problem and any suggestions to get rid of it (even though I like the smell).

You have an infestation of blacklocks mate......they give off that smell......put a saucer of milk down for them everyday and they won't fall out with you

Tonight I've been smelling fire in the kitchen, like a bomfire but all the windows are shut and no one near me seem to be having one.
