Undr the cosh podcast - Lee Howey

He’s employed by safc. Spends his time in the Monty suite, entertaining the past players, reads the team out, draws the raffles, interviews motm. Sits right behind Monty in the west stand.
I met him there . Really down to earth nice bloke. Was surprised I remembered his goal away at a west Brom. Very unassuming.

Comes across ok bloke good luck to him , was bang average as a player , wasn’t even the best player in his year for st Aidans .
As say though good luck to the lad , he’s making a living
I'm trying to think who was the best. I'm struggling? I went to Broadway and was a year younger but I played with or against all the good players. Burt, Grant Brown, Smita etc..

Scored an equaliser against someone to break a bit of a losing run if I remember rightly. I think Reidy always said it was one of the most important goals ever scored during his time as a manager.

Just in his own school
Damien Adamson
Archie Common
Micky Robinson

Mind you I wasn’t in that year just what been told In past , by more than one though
I knew all of the names in his book, Howe and some of them were in the same class as me. While they kicked and cleared balls at break time, I cleared the classroom tables to practice break dancing. He should have mentioned that in his book.

Enjoyed that, didn't really know about the journey he went on before getting here. Wouldn't call silky one of the roughest estates in Sunderland mind hahaha 🤣 that's posh to where I grew up.
Thought they lived Thorney Close as kids ?

Listened to most of it and comes across decent bloke , liked a drink mind 😆
