Unable to post smilies

No idea why but I’ve become unable to add smilies to posts.

I use an IPad and never had this happen before

Also all the symbols like bold etc are disabled. Strange one
Sorted. My fat fingers touched that last symbol on the line above, which turned them off

I'm seeing this on android and windows chrome.

The entire text editor is disabled for me, so i can't bold or format text either.

Click on the little cog wheel at the top of the editor box. That switches between the buttons and WYSIWYG view and the "expert" manual editing mode.

If you aren't seeing the title bar at the top of the editor box at all, your browser is blocking it for some reason.
