Uganda

Back from an amazing trip to Kabale in Uganda. Life changing stuff meeting so many fantastic kids and filming for Abode Records festival and their charity project helping local kids into education and beyond. Such a beautiful place but so much poverty.

Organised all the venues for the festival, bought a site for a boxing gym, bought land for a hotel for volunteers and kids to spend some time having fun. So much achieved in a short space of time. Gave a couple of shirts out too.

They were amazing kids. Heartbreaking though. The work the project does brings so much joy. Harlequins rugby club are now on board too and they donated about £3k worth of kit. It was like Christmas for them. Can see so much hope when there but when you have to leave. Man that’s hard. Kids from 5-14 crying and holding onto you like you are their family after only meeting them 5 days ago, gut wrenching stuff.
