He's quoting the newspaper, why do you keep going on about this, can you not read the article, his post is a direct quote from the guardian paper. He never said it, he quoted it.

Looks like when you have to think of an answer by yourself rather than Google an answer like you're doing a dissertation your brain short-circuits. Still no explanation what you do with your time though, must be embarrassed.

Chemical engineering, now part time consultant/retired.

He added 'Case closed' at the end of this quote. That implies he agreed with the statement of a former MOD staff member, that it was an experimental military craft.
And he stated it was a quote by the MOD, which it was not. It was a quote by a 'Former' MOD staff member, so not an official statement at all by the MOD.
 
Only one way to sort all the bickering and bitching on here and thats a good old straightener on the cobbles.
