UFC/MMA Thread - 2020

Lads, lads, lads, lads, lads, lads, lads.. who wins this weekend? It’s Bull vs Matador, Power vs. Technique, Monster Truck vs. Motorcycle.

I’m all in on the Gane hype, I believe he is the real deal, but I just don’t think he can stay away from the nukes for 25 minutes.

Them nukes won't last for 25 minutes, but I know what you mean. Gun to my head, Gane points or late stoppage. Hope its as good as everyone is expecting.

Gane's a very niche and unique heavyweight so it's hard to predict what happens against a stereotype heavy hitter.
High intensity high pressure and high conditioning is never what you see in a heavyweight, absolutely ripped apart Derrick Lewis. Personally would like to see Gane win as it's very pleasing on the eye to watch.

The other fights are very poor however, Figueredo is very lucky to get another fight considering how dominated he was.
And when a debutant on 1 weeks notice is 3rd on the main card it sums up what the prelims and fight pass card is like.

Will the main event be about 5am mate?

I'm setting my alarm for 4am to be safe, but it will probably be around 5am.
Meant to be over the lakes for the day and thought about sacking it off but looking at the card it’s probably not worth it, if the main event doesn’t live up to the hype (hard to see) then it’s probably not worth staying up, 4:30 alarm it is.

Something like 8 ufc debutants on the card all together. Its a record. Other than the main event, its a fight night card really. There's a time when they would have fly weight title fights on fight night cards aswell.

I just record the hower.

get up fresh and brew and bacon sarnie and chill.
This man knows the dance.
Get up on the morning, don’t look at spoilers.
Bacon sarnie and a coffee on the couch and watch the fights.
one of life’s many pleasures
In other news. All Conor does these days is get pissed. i doubt we’ll see him fight again? He’s in his pub every night.
