Don't think he has as much power with regards signings as he did at Swindon, De Fanti is the one who pretty much signs them with Di Canio giving him the nod.Live and die by the sword. Obviously Graham was given the chance and didn't cut it.
Di Canio now has his players and team at his disposal and ultimately will be measured on that.
Can't see anything wrong with previous managers signings playing for PDC and doing well. Di Canio never signed Matt Ritchie, Caddis or Ferry at Swindon and were by far the best players at the Club. If you buy into his philosophy you are in. If you don't you are simply out.
Cross or fall out big time and you are on your way. Caddis went for allegedly falling out on a dietary issue.
Matt Ritchie and the majority of players PDC left behind said it was tough but he was a fantastic coach that improved them as players.
At least as Supporters you know you will get 100 per cent effort and ultimately that is what you want to see.
Caution 40 players in 18 months at Swindon. On the other hand as others have pointed out he wouldn't get away with this at Sunderland and I reckon he learnt from his mistakes.
If things were had concluded better we could have had a few of your kids on loan. Michael Reddy ( I think the name is correct) did us proud.
