I needed a mobile fitter this week, tyre blew out on my way to work. Tried a place on the net, told me it would be 2 hours and £280. Got one replaced later in the day for £62 from a place I’d used before. Just thought I’d share.

When I was an impoverished young un I used to buy part worn tyres that had been taken off crashed cars in Germany. By law any tyres on a crashed car had to be replaced.

We had 4 odd tyres,all second hand, on a knackered transit van. Not that dangerous as the the van was so slow we could not have a proper crash

Alas I’ve had a beer now and our lass would divorce me if I popped out now to fit a tyre smoother some bloke off the internet.
