Tyne tunnel closures

Got caught out last night trying to get south at 1am ,closed.
Anyone know if its ongoing?? i got through okay.Can't find nowt on websites etc

How'd you get thru if it was closed?

They normally close one and make he other one a single carriageway going both ways. They also usually announce closures on their website and twitter too.

Unusual to close both and not announce anything like
