Two weeks to actually do something...

Maybe you are correct but Moyes is a tremendous appointment - he's no fool, far from it. He know's what we want and what we need. I have a great deal of faith in Moyes - far more than I did with Advocaat or Poyet. I'm not saying its at all ideal at this moment in time but I am quite happy that Moyes is in control of the situation.
I am a great beiever in the fact that actions speak liuder than words. Moyse has made a rod for his back, we have nil points, we are not getting encouraging noises. What signals does that send out to would be signings, we will bring in next years dross, common sense tells us that.

It's like the club devise new plans every season to fuck with the team as much as possible and see if we can still survive. Just for the crack.
Yes, of course they planned that England would take BSA. Oh and then replaced BSA with a first class replacement in Moyes.

Yeah but I'd say 80% of players we've signed over the last 5 years have been flops.

It's true, you get very lucky at times and get a cracking player for pittance, like we did with Kirchhoff. However, this happens very rarely and a player at that price is more likely to flop than be a success most of the time.

I think you're being unfair on Advocaat mind. He won the UEFA cup with an average Zenit team man.
Advocaat didnt want to be here longer than 9 games.

My worry is the 5 players we do get in won't be first team quality, and more squad players.

Can you see us spending 30 million over the last 12 days?
I think a couple of good signings and maybe an up and coming CH would be enough for me now. Get to January add M'Vila and we should be alright imo.

Not going to try and dress it up, it's been a crap pre season but I've still got faith in the manager and think he'll get it right. Lets just hope whoever we bring in is fit and ready to play from the first game after they arrive.

You are only as good as the money you spend wisely. He is a manager not a magician.

I don't have voices in my head.
Well you are making it up about hearing that Borini may leave - unless, of course, you explain very clearly where you heard that he might leave because I think you are making this up to make our situation out to be worse than it is.

I started going in 1974. This is by far the longest unbroken period in the top flight since 1958 - thats nearly 60 years - its not all bad despite how much people on here want to make it out.

I know it isn't, my original comment was mostly satire. I don't really think the club try to fuck with us. It's amazing how quickly optimism can turn though!

We'll already be cut adrift by the time January comes around with this team, meaning we'll need another miracle and another amazing January window to stay up. Rinse and repeat.

MON is the only one who can compare to Moyes and he was THE disappointment in my lifetime. Moyes is better than any manager we've appointed in the last 40 years except BSA and MON - he is as good as them though.
Time will tell, I was pleased, now I am worried, very concerned might be the best way of putting it as I'm sure you are deep down.

No, I actually read about it, I am not immature enough to make things up. Don't be surprised if Khazri is gone.

No, I'm not worried at all. Ive been following Sunderland long enough and have other real worries in my life. With Moyes in place I'm as confident as I have been for many a year. However, I would appreciate it if you could clarify where you heard Borini may leave because I think you are making that up.

I will find the source but it will tomorrow now.

I'm not comparing us to Hull but both them and Burnley started off with far worse teams than us and haven't signed anyone of note.

I want us to push on this season. It hasn't been a good close season tuus far but Moyes has only been here 3 weeks and there's still time.
I agree mate.
Although this close/pre season has been massively deflating, even for happy clapping fans like me.

I can't see us pushing on this season but if we don't panic buy crap and get behind Moyes, I believe we'll stay up and hopefully be in a bit better of a position to progress next season.

Where did you read about Borini possibly leaving? It shouldn't be too difficult to point that out. We should all be made aware of where you read that Borini may be away.

Good I will hold you to that.

We won't be mate, look at the performance at the weekend, look at Hull's squad and them picking up a result. We'll be organised and we have players like Kone, Kirchoff and Defoe that most other teams outside the top 6 would love in the side. 1 or 2 good signings and look O.K imo, no better than that though.
