Two weeks to actually do something...

Injuries are what you have squads for though. At some point you just give the kids a go.
Aye when you have a 25 man squad of senior players.

We have 14 of which one is long term injured. Can see that bit in bold going down excellently, while teams like Palace are buying Benteke.

It's a completely different situation.

Keane only had about 2 days to sign players and he had only been here a day or 2.

I'm happy for Moyes to take his time and get the right players in, not just anyone for the sake of it.

It will take balls of steel to let it go down to the wire but if that's what he wants to do fair enough as long as he gets them over the line.
Agree, I was being bed wetty. We need 6 players on 2 weeks though.

What the hell are you trying to defend?

And they WILL relegate you, that's why proper clubs invest in the here and now.

I'm not defending anything.

Hull have an average team, haven't signed anyone and beat Leicester first game of the season. Long term they will go down IMO.

Short term we can gain points too. Long term we need new players but we still have more 10 days to sign them. I'm not panicking on August 19th, why would I?

We will see. I expect no more than another £15m but time will tell.

We'll spend absolute peanuts compared to clubs like Bournmouth man that's what we've sunk too. I get the same feeling as you, don't think anything major will be spent, no proven players brought in.

Lose agains boro and I can feel the atmosphere could turn on short on Sunday. Hoped we were past that.

Speak to me in two weeks.

It's August 19th and agents and clubs have been playing poker all summer. We need a busy last 12 days of the window.

Kirchhoff was our best midfielder since January, easily.

We have a decent back up keeper, we need a striker badly and another CB. CM too but there is time.
We haven't been 'busy' for 3 months, how can we be sure the club will turn it on in thr final 12 days.

Yeah and right now Kirchhoff is crocked, meaning we have to play O'Shea and Rodwell. One more injury in midfield and we'll be forced to play a youth player.
An injury up front to Defoe and we're royally fucked, same goes if Love gets injured at RB. What about if PVA gets injured, or if Kone gets injured?

You can be positive, but right now that squad is shocking.

I do think you have to put some faith in Moyes - he's no idiot. He is 2 or 3 weeks behind where he'd like to be. You and I both know we will get 4 or 5 players (or more) in the next 2 weeks. It depends on whether they are good enough, of course. We are weakened now compared to the end of last year but add M'Villa and a RB and we are probably as good as the team which was playing mid table form football under Sam.

We spent £8M on a player I'd never heard of. Bought a couple of promising kids for £5M.

I don't expect us to spend £20M on one player but Moyes wouldn't have come without having circa £25M to spend.
If you valuation is correct then we have another 12 million to spend

We can't get 5 or maybe even 6 players for 12 million. Not decent ones anyway.

We do need probably 4 or 5 first team players in. However, I have a great deal of faith in Moyes.

We are so dependent on Defoe though. If he pulled his hamstring tomorrow, we re up shit creek.

Again, dont worry about the numbers - we dont know the numbers. I'm quite sure Moyes came in with a plan and will execute that plan. You have to admit that we have this sort of panic amongst fans every window. It may be warranted just at the moment but we do have panic every window.
