Two Spus Fans Seriously Injured In Rome

Someones already said on this thread Swedish fans got the same so its not just because they are English, more like because they are not Italian.
More likely it's cos they now those fans will probably have flown to Italy and so be very unlikely to be carrying knives etc.

Now if it was a bunch of Albanian, Turkish or Serbian fans [etc.] ...

English are seen as the king of the hooligan firms across Europe, so the European firms will want to test themselves against the best. But what is happening now is the firms in England are dying out and can't travel aboard. So the average fans are be mistaken as English hooligans and are seen as fair game to them sadly.
In a nutshell really.

If this is a hot spot and they know the places where incidents happen why are the police not out in force on the day/ night before and the day of the game.

Do they not mind that it happens?
According to spurs fans the police started leaving the area just before any incidents...

Not a good idea to go there in the first place. There's always trouble in Rome . Just plain stupid to travel there for a 3rd rate football match

Long time since the english were seen as top hooligans. Gladly we are not in the same league as the east europeans.

I'd love to see Sunderland in Europe mind. Traveling to backward places in Europe (not that Rome is one) would be a fantastic experience, and I wouldn't want to let a load of hooligans prevent me from being there.

Well what can you say about that. Different story over there they own the clubs- storm training pitches and call players out. Chairman meetings with known hooligan groups its a different world.

Didn't they get a game called off by storming the pitch once and asking the players to get it called off. Then 1 went on live tv?

From what I've heard/read about it, the Spurs fans were in there drinking and behaving themselves when up to 50 blokes wearing motorbike helmets and balaclavas, carrying broken bottles, metal bars and baseball bats etc. burst in and attacked them.

This account of it came from the italian owner of the bar so I'm inclined to believe it.
If this sort of thing was happening over here we'd be banned from Europe without a doubt.

Its not just this, theyve been warned for the monkey chants etc twice in the last few seasons as well. Nowt is done you hear about it every f***ing year but uefa dee nowt, if it was an english club theyd be banned for the amount of shit lazio has gotten away with.

Did all 100 Spurs fans smash up that pub or did you make that up to sound good?

According to my cousin who is an Arsenal ST holder and who was there about 40/50 made it inside probably because of the size of the pub. They flung one lad straight over the bar and into the optics leaving him unconscious and ripped to shreds. My cousin hid under pool table and they hoofing him from either side. Spurs fans are wankers and have a habit of turning up at rival pubs early doors and kicking fuck out of anyone.
I know loads of stories about their shitty behaviour including filling a night bus at nearly 1am and going up the Holloway Road and kicking off with innocent drinkers. Get yourself down Spurs some season and start singing innocent Sunderland songs outside one of their bars and see what happens to you.

According to SSN, Lazio have denied it was their supporters involved. How can they possibly know for sure to deny it? I hope they get the book thrown at them.

They know it will be their supporters who did it they just so bent and corrupt that they think it's ok and will back them to the hilt. Don't some of the ultra groups in Italy have huge power within some clubs? They seen as some type of army protecting their club. They will deny it and assist the offenders no doubt.

They are seen as 'assisting' one or other of the political parties come election time, iirc, hence their relative immunity.
