Two more differing results

I was wondering when we last had two such different results as SJP and Chelsea ............. I remember when we brought in Elliot, Arnott, Rowell and, from the certainty of relegation, started beating West Brom, Boro and others by 5 and 6 goals.

That still doesn't feel like the depths of the derby match and the glory of battering the English Champions on their own ground.

Can anyone remember two such extreme highs and lows?

We went 10 games without scoring that season but it was only a quid to get in the Fulwell and the players were on sensible wages so you didn't feel like you were being bent over and taking it up the arse.
Arnott Elliot and Rowell what a breath of fresh air, all youth team products and all quality.

John Osbourne died in 1998 aged 57 we are getting old mate (WBA keeper that day)

I saw them all and really thought we'd avoid relegation and develop into a great young side ......... still enjoyed it like :-D

Me to marra, happy days, but the squad we have at present, could lead to something, a lot happier, heres hoping.

I was in the Fulwell for those games and the surges every time we scored were like being on a magic carpet ............ hang on, what was Niall Quinn saying?

It was like taking amphetamines when you walked up those steps into the Fulwell End ....... I really believed in that team and it was a shame it all fizzled out.

I really feel different this time and it's a bit frightening, it all seems professional and like we're going somewhere

Pretty sure when lost 8-0 to Watford:oops: we beat Norwich at home 4-1 next game.

All I can remember from either game was Turner had a blinder at Watford.... could've been worse.

I remember the journey home and school on Monday more.
