How's your lads toe??

Looked canny battered when he was showing it on Saturday after the game.

Not as bad as we first thought Matt thanks for asking.

Bit rest and should be ok. Stopped him bowling which was a big loss to us as we were left short, not taking it away from you lads mind very strong batting all the way down got you home mate.

Ground and wicket was spot on. Lovely to see the bar so nice as I was involved with HCCC when we had it built. Will always have a lot of time for your club game played in good spirit ( in the main )

We were really disappointed to loss as we felt we should have clossed it out but again fair due to your lads

Good luck ( but not to much ) for the rest of the season

Good to hear, as he thought it was broke.

Was a good game, I'll be honest when I was sat there and we were 6 down for 120 odd, didn't see us getting back in it, but Gav batted well, and was supported well,

Sets the rest of the season up to be very tight, you's are still top so still have the upper hand!

Think all the players participating in the game played it in a good spirit. Only bits of controversy were the boundary calls but the lively chatter on that front was primarily people not playing. I think that catch must have looked different from certain angles as some Ive spoken to (including Houghton spectators) said it definitely wasnt on line and some said definitely on line (I thought Gregg just caught the line on second landing but no way he could have known like and said as much when I went out). Just one of them things but I thought the game carried on alright after five minutes settling down. Must have been the sun going to peoples heads.

Really good game between two quite well matched teams on a very good wicket. 460 runs and 18 wickets in less than 90 overs with the game swinging back and forth provided a bit entertainment for the people there (was an excellent turn out for both clubs by the way). Should be an exciting end to the season league wise.

As an aside, it was a good advert for NEDL cricket as there was some ability on show as well. Think the league is talked down a bit by those outside of it and Saturdays game wasnt at all representative of the stereotypes that go with it.

Have been surprised at the standard
of this league as it's YVoR first season at this level . Some very good players . Think a lot will rest now on teams missing good players due to holidays. That could be a deciding factor for clubs at the top
