TV licence

Understand this has been discussed prev, but can’t believe it’s a blanket pay or else.
These days it’s achievable to encrypt channels like other company’s, it will take a test case to completely blow the BBC Up and stop the compulsory purchase fee.
I think it’s still good value, but don’t believe its sustainable under the current structure, payment process.

This has been done to death. The licence fee should only be stopped once it is agreed that the BBC will be funded out of general taxation, with an act of parliament making it an act of high treason to even attempt to cancel or reduce the funding levels of the BBC. And just to be on the safe side, to further safeguard British people from losing possibly the only thing preventing barbarians from bringing the entire culture of our country crashing down, the proprietors of the Mail and News Corp should be hunted down, dragged from their beds in the middle of the night, shot through the head and buried in the f***ing woods.

But the service is forced. Nobody else can get away with it, why should they.

It’s massively different to how it was.

Fancy not understanding ;)

No one else is allowed to walk up to people, put handcuffs on them and lock them up in little rooms with bars on the windows, why should the police be?

I am probably being whooshed but fuck it, I like the BBC, I respect what it tells me and their radio stations can’t be rivalled.

Their TV, not much I watch to be fair but it’s good and it’s ours.

How was it? I’m only 37 so probably don’t understand.

When do you not need one? Is this for BBC only like BBC iPlayer etc. Or for watching any live tv? Just want some clarification as I never watch BBC at all. A big fan of Netflix and amazon prime.

Any live broadcast TV, you need a license.

iPlayer, you need a license.

Netflix / any other on-demand service, you don't.

How on Earth did I miss that comparison :eek::lol:

I don’t mind some of the stuff to be honest. Never used to like it but watch now and then now.

Just don’t agree with it being forced onto everyone who wants to watch ANYTHING. It’s mental
