Without any doubt there is something on sky for everyone. Absolutely certain.

Amazon prime
Netflix
ITV no adverts addon
Now tv cinema
Now tv entertainment
Now tv kids

All less than £3 a week so I assume you won’t mind paying for them as well?
Does Sky provide late night phone ins on radio?

Then you'd be spending about £80 a month, what sort of idiot would spend that on telly?

I have Netflix, Amazon prime and NowTV if you don’t watch any of these then tough shit, I think everyone who hasn’t should be forced to pay for them, the same way as people who watch the shite the BBC churns out think those of us that don’t watch live tv or pay the license fee should still have to pay for it.

What f***ing planet do you think that makes sense on?

Sky provides something for EVERYONE.

Should we MAKE you pay FOR it every month?
So SKY provides things like Gardeners Question Time, The Sky at Night, The Archers, Blue Peter, advert free and educational kids programs, Click, Question Time, Citizen Khan. OU programming, it does not, because that kind of stuff does not sell adverts. Those may not be your cup of tea but are still incredibly popular programmes.

BBC is there for the viewers and not the advertisers, but because some people want to watch a 80 hour series of goblins fighting dragons its now no longer relevant. All Sky offers is repeats, oh and sport.

But it makes our British Empire so great. It's a institution that makes us poor more gentrified. Be happy that it only costs 3 pund a week you ungrateful sod.

Probably not. I'd like to see the BBC go to some sort of subscription service but I'd also like to have things hardline so no licence, no watch, listen or download anywhere. For example, barred from pubs if a world cup match is on the BBC.

Actually, that's a point. Does the OP plan on watching the world cup this year?
Pubs have tv licenses.

I know they do but we're going for personal subscriptions here not venue subscriptions. You opt out, you're out and nobody with you is in either.

But would that not be the same as a pub having a sky subscription & person who doesnt popping along to watch footy
