Training sore muscles

Is it worth waiting until they're not sore anymore? Will it hinder recovery if i lift when they're sore?
Just have a light day. I tend to get sore when I've had a break and jump straight into lifting heavy. The worst for me is normally in my arms but it's not the bicep itself, it's actually the tendon.

When I get like that I have an 'upper' or 'lower' day. last night for example I done two sets for each muscle group. Not particularly heavy, then stretched off and warmed down properly. I'll probably do the same tonight meaning when I train chest and tri's later in the week my body is over the trauma and ready for a proper session.
