I will just be wanting to do train there and bAck on the same day. Prob be a nightmare getting train tickets though?

Got train down their for city cup final but cant remember if it was easy to get tickets

Aye, for that reason I'd prefer just to car it.

Cba with the chew/anxiety rushing to KX back from Wembley and ending up standing for the whole time back potentially.

Got mine booked.

£55 return Sunderland - London for 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids) and £160 for 2 nights.

If we don't make the final we'll just have a weekend in London with the bairns
4 people return for £55?! Fuck me, that's class. Well found!

I've paid £119 for the 3 of us and I thought that was a good deal (basically £40 each). We are going down Saturday morning and returning Saturday night.

Yeah me and our lass (no) have paid £136 for Saturday morning down and Saturday night return but that's from Newcastle to London and return to there as well. We get in there for 1040 and on the 1930 train back so we have loads of time to make it across the match.

When I saw the price I just thought we might aswell book it and if the worst happens we'll have a weekend in London with the bairns

Genuinely can't believe how cheap that is. Well done.

Mine's from bloody Darlington as well, so not even as far.

Don’t quote me on this but you may still be able to get a refund if you don’t use the tickets with LNER, I had tickets to Glasgow for end of March which I didn’t use, tried my luck and said I had covid and they refunded me the full amount with vouchers.

"Book with confidence" in place until September, so you can get a refund if you book another journey or vouchers if you cancel altogether. No risk.

Just booked 2 x return tickets off the back of this thread! There and back in a day from Durham £149.

If we don't make it, then it's a day out in the capital

Just booked a ticket on LNER for another journey for work. Can cancel and get a refund on any journey until end of September. Unless I am reading this wrong of course 😁
