Tour de France 2020

That last couple of hundred metres just looked absolutely sickening, I felt knackered just watching it.
It would have hurt like! Dumoulin and Uran in particular looked absolutely knackered at the end. Roglic didn't even break a sweat.
too many people on the climbs not wearing masks and screaming into the riders faces like. Idiots.

Was that the one in the red ballet outfit, bit on the small side ?
I think he was talking about the bloke in the Jumbo Visma jersey running alongside the riders on the climbs.

Should the fans without face coverings screaming into their faces on the climbs not be charged with assault? There is a reasonably dangerous virus out there after all.

Well if your shredding top class climbers like he was the other day for 6/7k it does raise the odd question or two.

Today was even more questionable, was dropping climbers then got dropped himself, caught back up on the downhill and was able to sprint like it was a flat stage.

Roglic was asked about ketones yesterday and said he didn't even know if they made any difference as its the 3rd week of the tour so everyone is tired anyway. They seem to think its just like having an extra serving of porridge or something.

Jumbo does seem a bit strange to me. Even when Team Sky had their train on the mountains, they usually got Froome to a point and then he would be by himself to then follow attacks or attack himself. Rarely if ever did he cross the line with 2 or 3 team mates in close proximity on a mountain. Froome always had days where you could clearly see he was struggling despite all of the protection. Yet Roglic has looked effortless every day despite this been an extremely difficult tour. They haven't even had quiet times at the beginning of the stages due to the battles for green jersey points.

Even on the ITV commentary yesterday when Sepp Kuss was approaching the line on that massive ramp, they said he looked like he had just been on a Sunday ride out with Porte visible in the back ground showing pain all over his face.

Imagine being disrespectful and questioning them... 🤔

Commentators said today is an easy stage.

Yes after riding up mountains for 18 days I imagine it’s like a gentle toddle along Seaburn. They then shows the graphic and it seemed to go on forever.

Anyone know how long today’s stage is?

BBC reckons 166.5km, which probably puts it on the short to average side for this year's tour. It's relatively flat (only one cat 4 climb) but undulating looking at the profile. Looks a standard breakaway go out, get caught, sprint finish type of day.

Its 200km and they are going over the tourmalet so it is a difficult stage. If sagan was on prime form I would say that this stage is made for him.

It could be a good one for a classics specialist so allaphillipe or Van Avermaet could also be in with a shot if their legs are good. There might be a chance of a breakaway sticking today - it will be a good race.

Shane I am at work so I will have to catch the highlights.
