Top 5 ever home games..

Still bored with the takeover shite and still a nostalgic old fool so in no particular order here goes...
Sunderland 2 Man Utd 1 Easter Monday 1977 Kevin Arnott and Tony Towers for us Gordon Hill for them. Just remember as a 9 year old being fascinated by the antics of the vast away support!
Sunderland 3 Burnley 2 2006 Carlos, Keane..et al
Sunderland 1 Man City 0 Mick Buckley saves the day with another last day escape 1982
Sunderland 4 Chelsea 1 2000 no explanation needed!
Finally Sunderland 3 Everton 0 team kone and “something special is happening at our club” and we all know how that turned out!
Being a Sunderland fan is never dull and not good for the heart! But always FTM and STID

Since 2004 for me...

Sunderland 3 Burnley 2
(Carlos Edwards screamer - also just a brilliant counterattacking team goal)

Sunderland 1 Man City 0
(Phil Bardsley goal & Wes Brown defending the lead like a man possessed)

Sunderland 1 Newcastle 0
(Defoe volley - 4pm kick off definitely enhanced the atmosphere throughout)

Sunderland 3 Chelsea 2
(Unbelievable second half after utter dejection throughout half time)

Sunderland 2 West Brom 0
(Great escape - atmosphere electric for the last minutes of the game)

Can only give you SOL era games

Sunderland 4-1 Chelsea - 1999
Sunderland 2-1 Mags - 2008
Sunderland 1-0 Man City - 2012
Sunderland 2-0 WBA - 2014
Sunderland 3-2 Chelsea -2016

Chelsea quarter final
Chelsea under Allardyce
Chelsea under Reid
Burnley with Keane
Finally beating the Mags with Richardson's free kick. Would be higher but it's old hat now.

2-1 against Newcastle under Keane - my 1st time seeing us beat them live. Hasn’t got any less fun since!

3-2 against Chelsea. From us looking like losing and other teams with winnable games which would have almost certainly seen us go down, we turned it round. Superb atmosphere as well

3-0 against Everton. We survived and relegated the mags at the same time. Quality night

3-2 against Burnley. THAT goal by Edwards, great atmosphere, pretty much nailed us promotion

1-0 against City. Jiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

Burnley under keano
West Ham under keano
First league win at sol (Man City)
Last game at roker (Everton)
Bradford under reidy (Boxing Day)

Have lived away from north east for years.....
