"Tony Mowbray pays the price for overachieving with young'uns."

No you’re the one making bold statements saying we’re a risky club for PL clubs to send their up and coming players. Please explain how?

I’m not from Blyth ya dafty
I never said you were from Blyth and I honestly believe that loosing Tony Mowbray as a Manager, someone with a proven track record of developing young players and replacing him with who knows what will be detrimental to our Fabulous Club when it comes to attracting possible loan signings from PL Clubs. I may be wrong, I hope so but we will see what the New Manager and the January transfer window brings

Your argument is non-existant it seems and like many simply criticising without Substance. I'm glad you are enjoying your little self!!!

I think you’re being totally naive if you think PL clubs won’t send us players if TM isn’t here. It’s just a crazy thought process.

He also had a proven track record of not getting teams promoted. You seem to think it’s more important to develop other teams players then get us promoted.

I always thought TM would move across to run the Academy and support the development in the background..seems a wasted opportunity .
Think that was mooted after he was sacked, but he refused the opportunity (don't know if that's factual or not).

I always got the impression he took the job because it was local to his home and it suited both parties. The crack about clubs not wanting to send their young players here anymore is total bollocks as we were attracting them long before Mowbray turned up..in reality Mowbray started to make noise because it was going wrong on the pitch and he couldn't sort it out...
Well said.

Developing Amad did not do us any harm and nearly got us promoted under Tony in our first year back in the Championship after languishing in League 1 for too long. His sacking has harmed our chances of being considered as a stable Club to develop young players and indeed most likely harmed our chances of achieving promotion to the so called promised Land.

We will see in January and beyond whether the so called Top Clubs send any upcoming Talent to Us under our new Manager whoever that may be and indeed whether that New Manager can develop what Talent we already have at the Club. I hope the powers that be appoint someone who can.

I think Speakman and KLD would say he did the former whilst fans/media would say the latter.
which fans? Seems a lot on here thought Mowbray was perfect, check out his tactical nous in recent games when his game plan was sussed out by opposition, he didnt know what to do. He was fine with it last season and he has started crying to the media because he didnt know how to sort it.

I was underwhelmed when we brought him in, we played some brilliant football.

However if it was your money and your club and you thought you could get someone better in, what would you do?

I am backing the Board on this one, lets hope it works

Utter shit, how did we get young players on loan before King Tony?, It will be interesting to see how the 4 strikers we have, that King Tony hoyed under the bus, play under a new coach.

To Quote Mowbray when quizzed about Ross Stewart being sold. We will get other strikers to replace him "The KIng is dead, Long live the King" the same applies to managers

She obviously had that opening paragraph rehearsed thinking that we were going to beat and simply couldn't be arsed to take it out.

Good piece.

That said, what's done is done and we need to move on.

This for me. I think some of us saw this coming back in the summer if not even January when players weren't replaced. I've been quite vocal about lacking a bit of quality or experience needing to be replaced and how I felt it will and has cost us.

However the people at the club have a vision and so far we've made progress. They haven't got every decision right, they've pushed it close on occasions but they're in credit and as usual, we, the fans move on and see what's next - whoever comes in will have our support.

How is it pathetic?

Just a summary of said persons opinion, some views which many share.

She said mowbray was a serial winner when she wrote an article on his sacking a few days ago.

Also shoestring budget? It definitely isnt. She seems so bitter
