Tony Mowbray’s next job

He won't go anywhere, he'll retire and spend time with his kids. He left Blackburn for that reason, unless some really good oppurtunity comes up, can't see him being interested at all.

And fair play to him

He’s had a good career as a player and a manager

Hopefully he’s earned enough dough to be sound financially

Did a great job at safc so can go out on a high as far as I’m concerned

He left Blackburn because he was at the end of his 5-year contract and wasn't offered a new one.

Totally agreed, sure he'll be fine money wise mind.

He left Blackburn because he was at the end of his 5-year contract and wasn't offered a new one.

Not sure on that mind, it was never clear but I believe he was offered a contract but he declined it. He talks about it here for example - Tony Mowbray makes honest admission about his exit from Blackburn Rovers ahead of Sunderland's trip

Mowbray gets a good reception whenever he returns to a club he has previously managed.

There are not many Managers you can say that about and it tells you all you need to know about him!

He has had a lifetime immersed in football and it is in his blood. He will be back in some capacity in due course at another club.

Quality is hard to find but when you get it, it's best to keep it.

Our loss

This. Far too many on here have become too emotional attached to him, that they fail to see that he’s a poor manager who was completely out of his depth.

Thanks for the counselling Paddy, however most people on here are capable of objectively assessing the qualities of someone they like.

Reading only became known as ' The Royals' in 1976...before that they were nicknamed 'The Biscuitmen'. I think he may end up there.
