i don't like them, and although they don't bother me in general...

the absolute twats that wear them in the gym, along with their beanie hats and skinny jogging bottoms, while doing not much but posing, are utter utter bell ends

There was a brief period in the mid 80s where those sort of shoes with the straw bottoms were fashionable.

the current Kings of Leon Security chief got Andy Dibble's stud through his during his one man pitch invasion/celebration at the end of season game v Stoke in 1986.

They are pretty much all that Sonny Crocket wore along with his linen suits and pastel Armani t shirts during the first few seasons of Miami Vice.

This is probably why he always pulled his nickel plated piece and didn't get into ass-kicking with the perps.

I remember wearing them with lightweight baggy trousers for a period in the mid 80s.
